Our writing wall is looking very full with ideas to support the writing process. Here are a few pictures. There are examples of writing so that children can see what their writing needs to have in order to be at that level. Our literacy super heroes are there to support the children with their writing so that Sergeant Sabotage doesn't ruin it. You are most welcome any time to come in and take a look.

The children worked through a rubric a number of times while they were crafting their speeches in the last few weeks. Here are some of them discussing and working together to work out their next steps.
We have been using writing goals to help us improve our writing. The goals are written on a piece of laminated card and attached to our books so it can be flipped out at writing time. This means it is in our view to remind us. When we think we have achieved our goal, we highlight the piece of writing for evidence and after three times of doing this, we request a meeting with Mrs Hamilton to talk about a new goal.
